{TGIF!}

TGIF! Phew – another week has come and gone! I can’t lie, I am sooooo happy it’s the weekend. And with snow in the forecast here in Amsterdam, I am planning on spending much of it inside our warm apartment finishing my book (SO.GOOD.) and hopefully doing a few things to prep for the fast-approaching holidays!

If you’re spending the weekend cozying up and catching up on blogs, I have one you must add to your blog reader! Tammy has been one of my most loyal and long-standing blog supporters and it’s been so fun watching her blog grow so much over the past year or so. She blogs over at Lemons, Avocados & The Bay about life in sunny San Diego with her boyfriend and she’s so sweet and cheerful. Her outlook on life is admirable and absolutely contagious. Hop on over and check her out – I promise you’ll love her! Here are a few words from Tammy – enjoy!

Helllllllo. I'm Tammy and my blog Lemons, Avocados & the Bay is all about living the beachy kinda life in San Diego. I spent lots of time exploring my city, riding my bike along the boardwalk, and trying out new recipes and restaurants. My boyfriend and I just renovated our littlebeach bungalow. It's been a crazy experience, but I love that we can make our little house our own. I would love if you stopped by Lemons, Avocados & the Bay to say hello. If you'd like you can also find me on twitter, facebook, and instagram.

{Cozy Up in Fair Isle}

Working in the e-commerce industry means the holiday season is our busiest! Lately the long workdays and nights have got me counting down to our Swiss Christmas! I can’t wait to cozy up by the fire with my honey, a good book and a cup of {spiked} hot chocolate. And if I had it my way, I’d live in nothing but fair isle (so chalet chic!) for a week straight. A few of my favorite fair-isle picks below! What do you think? Do you love or hate this trend?

{Salzburg: Downtown + Hohensalzburg Castle}

After strolling through the Mirabell Gardens, we continued on walking through downtown Salzburg and up to Hohensalzburg Castle. On the way we stopped by an adorable litte cafe for radlers and ice cream. It was a perfect break in the day, and the place couldn't have been cuter!
 And I just couldn't leave this one out.... ;)

{Video: Our Weekend in Venice!}

Ciao ciao friends! How are you all? Did you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday? Corey and I had an amazing dinner with some expat friends and then we took off for Venice on Saturday. We got back from our dreamy weekend yesterday and I was so inspired I put together this video of our trip! I haven’t made a video since our trip to Paris over a year ago, so I thought it was about time I made another. It’s such a fun way to document memories! I am definitely not a professional moviemaker, but this video captures a few of my favorite moments from our trip. Hope you enjoy it! Photos to come…

P.S. I stole this song from Brittany's awesome Italy video :)

{It's About Time!}

Ah! I’ve been a bad, bad blogger! I got a sweet “I miss your blogging” comment in my Formspring yesterday, and then this morning my sis texted me wondering why I hadn't blogged in a while, and then when Megan called me out on Twitter this afternoon, I finally realized it’s about time I hop over here and say hello.

Well, where have I been? Not doing anything particularly fun, unfortunately. Work has been pretty nuts and top that with my commute and Corey’s class schedule and I haven’t had much time to blog during the week. Luckily, I’ve had the weekends to recharge, as we haven’t left Amsterdam in four weeks! I think that’s a record for us! It has been so nice doing fun things around our city and laying low. But fear not, the traveling won’t slow down forever – we’re off to Venice this coming weekend (I hope it’s not still flooded!!) and beyond that we have all our trips planned through the end of March!

I’ll be back to regular blogging very soon, promise! But in the meantime, when I’m not here, I’m tweeting, instagraming and pinning away – feel free to follow along!

{Meghan + Jeff 10.19.12}

I was finally able to make some room on my computer and edit the photos from Meghan + Jeff's gorgeous wedding! Yay!

Meghan and Jeff got married at a gorgeous venue out in Canby, Oregon - Postlewaits Country Weddings. It was truly stunning inside an out - the grounds were perfectly manicured and the barn was heartstoppingly (made up that word?) beautiful. Since I was in the wedding I didn't get to take as many photos as I would've liked - but snapped as many as I could! I wish I could've gotten more of the details. They left no DIY undone - from the photobooth to the wishing stones, to the readings to the cocktails, to the grooms cake... I mean, the list goes on and on. It was such an honor to be a part of their day - they are such a genuine and beautiful couple. The laughter they share together is contagious. And best of all, they made the cutest little baby girl you ever did see. Enjoy the photos!
