{Snow Day!}

Well, remember last week when I said "Hopefully I won’t have anymore snow photos to share with you anytime soon"... I clearly spoke to soon because Sunday morning we woke up to a beautiful blanket of fresh white powder! But seeing as it was Sunday and I didn't have anywhere to be (more specifically, a train to be on headed towards the office...) I was giddy with excitement. I practically jumped out of bed, threw on 17 layers of clothes and took off for a snowy morning walk with my boys. It was early enough that most of the city was still sleeping, so we had the fresh snow all to ourselves. I loved every minute of it! Now that it's back to work for the week I am back to hoping it doesn't snow again... At least until the weekend :)

{Weekend Snaps!}

After last weekend's debacle I was really looking forward to a chilled out weekend at home in Amsterdam.

And that's exactly what I got - complete with the most gorgeous, crisp fall days and bright blue skies. I was a happy girl.

This weekend included lots of long walks with the huz and pup.

Exploring different neighborhoods and discovering new places.

Lots of fresh mint tea.

A  coffee date in Vondelpark with this lady.

A trip to the Pure Market for fun trinkets and delicious treats with these two.

All in all it was just the weekend I needed!

{Rachael + Christian Engaged}

I still have at least one more Greece post for you, but interrupting for today to show you some engagement photos I took for my friends Rachael and Christian last week!

Rachael, an American expat living in Amsterdam, contacted me months ago after finding my blog. She asked if I would be willing to take engagement photos for her and her fiance! I was so excited. It was the first time anyone had contacted me (that I didn't know) to take pictures for them! Well, we met for coffee soon after and we totally hit it off. We've been friends ever since (and she has since started her own amazing blog - Let's Be Adventurers - which is packed with gorgeous travel photos!). 

We finally got some good weather and I jumped at the chance to take photos for these two. I think we all went into it a little nervous not knowing what to expect, but it turned out to be a super fun and relaxed evening taking pictures of these two. They are so in love, constantly laughing and constantly smooching :) My kind of couple!

{Weekend Snaps}

Some iPhone snaps from our glorious four-day weekend. Captions below!

We ventured over to Ijburg to check out these floating houses I'm obsessed with. Then we stopped in to Espressofabriek for some muffins, lattes & magazine reading.

We took the train to Hilversum (the same town we work in!) for dinner with family friends. We were a little bored on the train, as you can see :)

We spent a day in The Hague with Jeanelle and her boyfriend Steven, who live there. We were very impressed by how quaint and clean it was. Will definitely be doing a full post on the city soon! This is a photo of the Peace Palace.

The sun decided to come out so we grabbed our bikes and cycled to Oud Zuid - a neighborhood we don't spend much time in - to sit outside and enjoy some snacks & a glass of wine. Afterward we met up with some friends at Barca for dinner & drinks! It was so much fun!

A leisurely brunch at Le Pain Quotidien never disappoints!

Grocery shopping at our favorite store, Marqt. It's the Whole Foods of the Netherlands - love!

Cycling home our groceries for the week (it's a short one as we're off to Italy on Thursday!).
