Sigh...

Having a fabulous Christmas party complete with an open bar on a Wednesday night is just cruel, isn't it? We were up late celebrating the holidays with my coworkers and I am totally lagging today. I'll be back with a little more energy tomorrow. I am so excited it's almost the weekend!

Make Yourself at Home

While I love a gorgeous styled shoot as much as the next girl, there is something so genuine and intimate about plane ol' photos of you and your love in the place you call home. I'd definitely like to do a portrait session in our little apartment someday, and if it looked half as perfect as this one, I'd be ecstatic.

Aren't they just the cutest couple?! And her hair... Could it be more gorgeous? Love, love, loving these photos!

On Leaving the Comfort Zone

I've been in my position at work for more than two years, and this week I am taking on some new responsibilities. This is all very exciting and a very good thing, but I've realized through this new endeavor that I had become extremely comfortable in my job in the last couple of years. When I think of all the new possibilities that could come in the future, I get very excited, but sometimes scared, too. I'm afraid to fail. I'm afraid of not knowing how to do everything. I'm afraid I won't be good at doing something else. I'm lucky that I have a husband who is so encouraging and knows me so well, so when I start getting these panicky feelings, he talks me off the ledge and reminds me that this feeling is normal. Taking on something new is scary, but that is the feeling that drives us to succeed. We just have to muster up the courage to go forth into the unknown. And know that it's okay to mess up and it's okay to not know. Because someday, we will be comfortable again, and we'll be ready to take on another unknown.

Wish me luck :)

Happy {Holiday Party} Weekend!

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! Last night Corey and I attended his team's holiday party at The Nines hotel in Portland. It was a lot of fun! We got to dress up and be part of a murder mystery performance. Tonight we've got another party on the list -- a tree trimming party! Should be a great time. Well, I'm off to bake some Christmas cookies, hope you are all enjoying your Saturday!

Considering my love of travel, it’s no surprise that I really love maps. These ones are awesome. I think I need one.

Four Months!

I almost forgot to mention... Exactly four months ago today we said "I do".  And since you've seen so many gorgeous professional photos, I thought I'd show you some fun personal photos..

I believe Corey was caught singing Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" and I would bet money he's singing "...somewhere in the NIIIIIIGGGGGHHHHHTTTTT" Priceless. I love this man! He is my soul mate and makes me laugh and smile every single day. I love you husband!

My Christmas List

Well, folks. Here it is. Hoping Santa will bring me these goodies this year!

1. Hunter Wellies. I got some knock-offs earlier this year, but my itch just hasn’t been scratched. I want the real thing!

2. Cole Haan Maria Sharapova Hobo Bag. I’m currently handbag-less and I’m thinking it’s about time I added one into my life. This one is just the right size, and I love the color!

3. A Tropical Vacation. Mexico. The Caribbean. Hawaii. Heck, I’ll take a Palm Springs weekend. I need to see the sun soon, or I might melt.

4. Canon 75-300mm f/4-5.6 Lens. I love my 50mm 1.4, but I need a zoom lens. I haven’t done a ton of research, but my one giant requirement is that it has to be affordable. Let me know if you have a zoom lens you love!

5. A KitchenAid Mixer. It would make baking much more enjoyable, and much easier. Enough said!

6. Last, but certainly not least, a PUPPY! We’re ready to add a furbaby to our lives. Look at that face!!

What's on your list?
