Today is my birthday! So far it has been wonderful. The sun has been out, I've got flowers and cookies and now I'm off to dinner! Wahoo!

Bottle Painting

I am so excited about this DIY project I just found! You can transform the look of a clear vase or jar by simply pouring some paint into the bottom and swirling it around until the paint coats the interior. Then you have the smooth glass exterior with the look of solid white milk glass (or any color you want!). Will definitely be trying this one out for the wedding!

Yikes! Due to some internet difficulties and a super busy schedule, I've been a bit slow on the blog. Sorry about that. The move has taken up more energy than I had expected (doesn't it always?). While we still have lots of decorating to do before I want to reveal the new place, I can show you the incredible view we've been enjoying.

Surprise!

When Corey showed up and surprised me in Amsterdam (in the lobby of my hotel), my coworker Kara, who was traveling with me, happened to be standing right next to me and luckily had a camera on hand. She captured the moment and I hadn't seen the pictures until she sent them to me today. Not going to lie, I got teary. I can't tell you how happy I was in that moment. That was one of the best nights of my life.

This little guy came in the mail yesterday. I am giddy with excitement. It's supposed to be beautiful and sunny this weekend and I just can't wait to take it out for a test drive!

Photography Class

I am taking a five-week photography course, and had my first class last night! My mind was spinning and my brain felt like it was going to explode-- but all in a really good way. In two short hours I learned SO much. I'm so excited for the dry sunny day today so I can go out and practice!

Family Photos

Since our engagement shoot in San Diego got rained out a couple of months ago, Corey and I have a credit for a shoot with our insanely amazing photographer Jill Thomas. We've considered a day before (we'll probably be crazy busy preparing for the big day!) or day after shoot (assuming we'll be tired and seeing out-of-town friends off), but so far our favorite idea is doing a one year anniversary shoot. Maybe by then we'll have a doggy of our own and they'll actually be family photos? And if they turn out half as cute as Naomi, Josh and Kingsley's family photos, I will be ecstatic.

Renter's Wallpaper

Did you know Sherwin Williams makes EasyChange Wallpaper (pictured above) that comes right off? No need to repaint or anything, just wipe a damp cloth over the wall. For all of you renters out there who can't paint, this sounds like a pretty great solution. I'm considering trying it on a small wall in our kitchen in the new place. But be warned, it is pretty difficult to put up, so you might want to get some professional help unless you're extra handy and patient!

I think it is universally agreed that packing, moving, then unpacking are particularly obnoxious activities. Very few people enjoy doing them. I've been purging and packing for about two days now and I'm already sick of it. I'm ready to take a short flight down to Santa Barbara and stay a couple of days at the insanely gorgeous Villa Esperanza. Who's with me?

Weekend Recap & Great News

Happy Monday, all! Glad to see everyone is enjoying the Anthropologie giveaway! I knew you were all big fans :)

How was your weekend? What did you do? We went out for Italian with Corey's family Friday night and to the Portland Beaver baseball game Saturday night with our friends Meghan and Jeff! The game was kind of boring but it was super fun hanging

out with those two- they are a riot!

Also, this weekend we did something crazy and spontaneous and signed a lease for a new apartment just a few blocks from our current place! It's a brand new, LEED Platinum building and we are on the 19th floor! We are SO happy and excited. They also have this insane rooftop deck and we've already reserved the space for our rehearsal dinner. Everything is working out just perfectly. Hooray!
