Quick Hello!

I'm sure you're getting sick of my excuses, so I'll stop talking about how busy I am and how much I've neglected this little blog and go straight to my consolation gift... A sneak peak at one of the wedding projects we worked on this weekend. My Mama and future mother-in-law made all of our wedding napkins (in a mutlitude of prints) and we worked on cutting the wedding menus and tying them down with twine.

Summer in the City

I adore everything about this outfit. To me, it's the perfect outfit for antique shopping, city strolls, dining al fresco and frozen yogurt treats. It looks effortlessly put together and chic.

Engagement Photos!!!

I'm so excited to finally share a sneak peek of our engagement photos! We were rained out a bajillion times among a couple other problems, but three weeks before the wedding we finally did them! And it was seriously worth the wait. I love how they turned out and I can't thank our local Portland photographer Jessica Watson enough for being so patient with us and making our vision come alive!

Happy Weekend!

The weekend is here again. Hooray! It's hard to believe I only have two full work weeks until I'm off for the wedding and honeymoon. We'll be enjoying the sunny Portland weather this weekend. Lounging by the pool, dining al fresco and riding our bikes. Hope you're enjoying sunny, summery weather where you are! Ciao!

Can't Wait...

22 DAYS! The countdown is totally on, and if you haven't noticed, I can't think about much else. At least once a day I turn to Corey and excitedly remind him "You're going to by my husband!" or "We're getting married!" I cannot wait. I can't wait to be very married to Corey. Here are some romantical pictures by Elizabeth Messina (she captures the most amazing moments) because I'm feeling quite romantic.

Why Hello!

Hi Guys! I have been a bad blogger. As you can imagine, life is quite busy these days. We're 24 days out from the wedding and things at work are super busy too, which equals no time for blogging! I will try my best to keep up with posting regularly between now and the wedding and honeymoon!

Speaking of honeymoon... As some of you may know, Corey and I were planning a trip to French Polynesia. We chose the location because it's our ultimate dream destination. Unfortunately, the logistics to make this trip work were stressing us out to no end, and a honeymoon should be anything but stressful, right? So, this weekend we made the decision to cancel our flights and instead booked an eight-day honeymoon in Kauai. We could not be more excited! It'll be exactly what we need. A lush, beautiful location, easy flight, English-speaking, no currency exchange.... Basically, pure and simple relaxation and bliss. Now that is what a honeymoon is all about. And thanks to Caitlin of the awesome blog Sacrament Street, we found a gorgeous, secluded rental home to stay at. Everything came together so seamlessly, we just know it was meant to be. If any of you have been to Kauai and have suggestions on things we must do or places we must eat, please do send them along!!

Hope you all are having a great week, and hoping to get back to blogging regularly very soon!

Beautiful Abode

It's rare I see a home and think I could move right in without changing a single thing. But this was definitely one of those homes. Isn't it gorgeous? It's rustic yet modern and feels young and fresh. I wish I could just move right in.

Mini Cooper + Airstream

This is cooler than cool. It's so cool that I am getting irrational thoughts about purchasing this stellar combo. I mean, look at that wall that folds flat into a sunning deck. Yes, I do believe this luxury camper was made just for moi.

ONE MONTH!!!

{Photo by Jill Thomas}
Oh my goodness!! One month from today, I will walk down the aisle to my soon-to-be husband, make one of the most important promises of my life and become Mrs. Denfeld! With every passing day everything feels more and more real. I'm ridiculously emotional at anything wedding related (well, maybe even things that aren't wedding related...), and I'm finding it hard to focus on anything else.

Last weekend we got our marriage license (!!!), finalized things with our event rental company, decided our cake and cupcake flavors, started on the seating chart and I made a banner for our dessert table. Today, Corey and I are meeting with our officiant to tell her our story and start crafting the ceremony. Everything is coming together! It is so exciting and I can't wait for August 7th!!!

Thanks for following along on this journey. It's been so fun sharing my inspirations and my experiences with you all!

Happiness & Ice Cream

I love this quote! I haven't been able to find any official credit for it, but I think it's brilliant.

Corey and I don't have much planned for the holiday weekend. I'm just hoping for some sun and ice cream (or gelato) and I'd be a happy lady. Happy 4th everyone!
